Just a thought,

When parking up for any period of time or not putting the Moho to use, which way do you prefer to park If your drive has a slight slope?

do you prefer pointing it front end up so water runs off the rear, or front end down so it runs off the front and down the screen etc?

or does it just depend which end of the roof the joint is and do it the opposite way to aid run off?

mmmmmm....?

If it's on a Ducato \ Boxer \ etc base you may also want to consider the windscreen scuttle issues they can have particularly if parked up under \ close to trees.
Basically, the drain holes can get blocked with the water overflowing into the engine compartment \ door footwells \ etc.

My drive slopes slightly down and I reverse on do front is down. I also lower the front suspension to make sure no water collects on the roof, otherwise I get a waterfall when I drive off it left dead level.

Front up when not in use and parked up, due to not wanting water on roof . Back up if sleeping in it due to better sleeping, and shower drain.

Because of the layout of our front garden and its relationship to the road we always try to reverse in and drive out. The place we park in slopes down to the rear and to the right, so that is the way the motorhome slopes. Sometimes if there are parked cars we have to drive in and in that case it slopes down to the front left. Really not a lot of difference.

When in use, slightly nose down to help the shower drain.

When parked we don’t bother about it.

Mine runs off the back corner when parked. Better than it sitting on the roof.

As we have a slight slope on the driveway, and because of the Hab door position it has to go in nose first otherwise you cannot access it other than by the "offside" "driver" door. (no good for SWMBO as the assist bars etc are in the Hab door). Ours has a bias to the rear, but in any case is on ramps to assist drainage to the rear/Offside. Which is the direction of "flow" when travelling in any case. But so long as your seams are tight, (dearie!) any position should be OK?. ( as the Actress said to the Vicar)

With a PVC either way water collects in the roof channels next to the front or back seals of the Heki. There is no way to avoid rainwater puddling unless you can park it under a roofed structure.

We had similar issues with the old Bessacarr, water used to escape from the scuttle and leak onto the engine. It was easily fixed with Sikafkex but I’d have hoped Fiat might have sorted this by now.

So it’s about 50 / 50 really, no particular right or wrong way apart from the fridge needing to be level of course.

I recon I might try a little trial and error when the new one arrives, which ever way leaves the least black streaks or easiest to clean I suppose.

No choice really. nose down ( but only by a couple of degrees )

Never seem to have any problem with the fridge not being level. As long as we don't slide out of bed, unless we're parked up for longer than a night or so we don't worry about it.

When not in use we're restricted by the storage pitch and is nose-down which, coupled with the natural stance, lets water run off the front. As for scuttle drainage I've added another drain, but as it's parked well away from any trees etc. don't get the blockage problem others seem to.

less of an issue for a pvc or a class with level roof lines. however with a coachbuilt with over cab, parking nose down water pools on the roof behind the bulge. if that water freezes it can split and lift joints

There was a fix introduced in 2009 when we bought our ducato based motorhome our present 2008 van seems ok too, storage is fairly flat but fiats are nose down naturally. When using the van we level up if staying for more than a couple of days, so long as wine glass stays on the table and pans on the cooker we can live with it for a night.
Doesn't matter how it is parked shower does not drain naturally (centre drain) do so miss the twin drains on the escape.

I put a roll if that stuff that insulates pipes in our ford scuttle when “stored“
for a month or two..
stops leaves collecting in the scuttle.

On the subject of levelling for the fridge, ours is no problem if nose up or down. Leaning so the fridge is door side down doesn't cause much problem either, however even a slight lean backwards stops it working properly.

Our 2013 Ducato still suffers from the problem. Hve donw a temporary fix until I can get around to a more permanent solution.
