Hope to go to Norway next year. Covid stopped us twice. We have battery assist bikes and we are wondering if it is worth taking them. would they get much use. I,m thinking about the weight and space as they go in the garage against the amount of use.

A good question, we propose to take ours particularly as we will have plenty of room as we can only carry 4.5 L of wine due to the custom regulations!

We have taken regular bikes to Norway and used them quite a bit and I could imagine ebikes would be great. There are quite a lot of relativity flat routes along the fjords for example. One time my wife and daughter coasted downhill for about 10 miles with me following behind in the campervan.
Have a great trip. Hoping to get back there one day

Norway should be a great place for cycling.
There’ll be a wide range of options. Off road, on road, flat & steep.

And watch out for trail maps that are showing routes near lakes. Mrskevenh & I have been caught out with those.
They’re often routes used for winter Nordic skiing. Not summer hiking 👀
We’ve had to double back away from small to wide streams a few times.
