A not quite so newbie anymore!
On a campervan trip & recently arrived in Italy. Looking to spend a few weeks in the North but having trouble finding campsites that stay open into end of the month. Using the ACSI discount card / book but very few listed - Any ideas? Will be heading south but wanted to wait till early November. Thanks.

We are now at camping Bella Italia on the shores of Lake Garda. This is an ACSI site, priced at 18 Euros and is open to the end of the month. Not too busy now with some pitches vacant with good views of the lake. Good local bus service to Verona and nice promenade walks.

We were there a couple of weeks ago it was packed solid even vans staying in the car park overnight. Didn't like it at first bit too big but did enjoy it there and would stay there again.

Here are a few sites that are open until November.

Top end of Lake Como with great views of both the lake and the mountains, we have stayed here and it is very clean, well recommended.

Tried to get on this site a couple of weeks ago but they were full ! right on Lake Garda in Bardolino and bookmarked for another year.

We found that many of the ACSI sites were either closed or about to, the ones we stopped at, or are open until November often don't take the card, as is the case with the above.

Now a little gem for you, If you fancy a few days in Monselice there is a boatyard right in the town center that has parking for a few campers at 10 Euro per day, we have friends living here and its a great little town with a few places to visit including the Castello di Monselice, Mondays are market days and the town has some great cafe's and bars.
If this appeals get directions from the tourist office, as I say its a boatyard not a campsite but they have hook ups and water and its totally secure right under the town walls.
