Given that the Aires are all for 24 hours only does anyone know of anywhere on the coast of Normandy where we could stay for 2 days and just chill in February ?

We're here now!Can recommend Arromanches Les Bains you can stay there a little longer and on the cliff top
Lots of aires in the region have 48hr limits if you look carefully
Lovely referral thank youWe're here now!
Fantastic view over beach, and a steep 10 minutes walk to the village.
Currently free as well, about 20 vans here, quiet over night, but a little road noise from about 7:00am.
If there is a 24 HR limit at most Aires, it is not adhered to , and doesn't seem to be monitored, some vans on some Aires seem to have been there for weeks.
Currently moved to port en bessin about 7 miles away, another free aire 5 minute walk to harbour and village, very nice little quiet Aire.Lovely referral thank you
It depends on what you mean by “as long as you like”. There’s a long stay and there’s taking the p. And according to campercontact, there are 1743 free aires in France where you can stay for 7 or more days.Never been on Aire in ten years where you could t stop as long as you like, free ones obviously.
Yeah sorry mate, an n missing there. It depends on what you mean by “as long as you like”. There’s a long stay and there’s taking the p. And according to campercontact, there are 1743 free aires in France where you can stay for 7 or more days.
You also have the option of going to the Mairie and explaining that you would like to stay for longer than the usually permitted period. If the aire isn’t busy, that won’t normally be a problem.
Edit: I’ve just realised that you might have intended to type “couldn’t”, in which case I’m basically agreeing with you!
almost missed this - thanks will visitLoads. Look on park4night.
We stayed here last time we went through France. It’s about 1.5hrs from the tunnel. Lovely walks on the beach and watching seals playing in the surf.
