Normandy Campsites open November? (1 Viewer)

We've used that one several times. However on our last visit couple of years ago the service point had been destroyed by a fire (someone decided to have a BBQ under the community centre roof). Anyone know if it's been re-instated?

The community centre has been knocked down, the service point is still there and in use.

It seemed busier last time we were there, I think vans have been put off parking at Ouistreham.

There is a good barrier controlled aire at St.mere eglise that should be open, an excellent museum in the town. There is also a good museum at dead mans corner, just a few miles before the town.

Don’t know if it’s open but the site at Arromanche is nice and right next to town,.

Presently on aire at Villers Bocage.. free (small charge if needing electric/water) 2 mins walk into town centre with lots of good eateries and shops. They were liberated by the desert rats and have pictures eveywhere..central for visiting all the beaches and battlefields. No restriction on length of stay.

Hi the aire at Cherbourg is right by the port & is free with just a short walk into town cheers Rod

Be wary of Ouistreham aire. We stayed only one night in May this year as we and another Brit van had problems with migrants trying to get into/under our vans at about 5 am. Luckily the gendarmes were around and chased them away. We left!!!

Fudge we are starting off from Ouistreham and finishing up in Cherburg because of the migrant situation so hopefully we shouldn't have any problems doing it this way around. Thank you for your kind response
