The last two get togethers I attended (Newbury and Kent) I seemed to have missed all of the activities,there is never any notices of anything going on that I could find,maybe I need to ask people if anything is happening or maybe a notice could be given to all arriving to let them know what is going on ??

Hi Frank, there will be a "whiteboard" at the marshals pitch advising Funsters of any activities. Any gatherings will be dependent on the weather as we will not have a marquee.

We're heading to Norwich for the Motorhome Show from the Welshpool/Shrewsbury area. Last time we were in that part of the world we went the A14, A11 route and hated it.
This time we're going to try M54 onto the A5 to Hinkley then up the A47.
Saying that, the last time we went we were heading just west of Lowestoft so maybe it made more sense going the A14 A11 route.
Can anyone vouch for the A47 route, is it a decent road? There seemed to be a plague of speed cameras on the A14, A11 route. Just couldn't relax and enjoy the drive!

I don't know how long its been since you used the A11 but its now dual carriageway all the way and a really nice road. No idea about the rest of your route but the last 20 miles or so should be dead easy.

Thanks Paul. It's been 5 years since I went the A14 , A11 route. The route is a bit hazy now but if I can remember right the issue of speed cameras was with the A14. I felt that I was concentrating more on my speedometer than I was on the road which isn't healthy, certainly not pleasurable.

Recently went on the A14 from ipswich to stratford and back, which means you go its full length before joining the M6, I can't remember many speed cameras. One near Kettering and another where the A14 and A11 merge, but only the cambridge to ipswich side. I can't speak for the A11 as we don't drive on it.

Have say I may have missed one as I set the cruise to about 55mph and don't worry to much about speed limits.

Been to the hospital today for pre-op checks, 2 smaller arteries partially blocked and another bigger one as well, not sure if they will do them all at once or not, but an overnight stay anyway, and most dissapointedly, no driving for 7 days after the 18th , so camping at the show will not be possible as the wife will not drive the M/H.
does anyone know if I would be able to use the passes we already have as day tickets or not??.

I see no reason why Warners should say no as you have paid ...... but is there nobody that could drive your m/h there and back for you if you will be well enough?

We live near Norwich Airport, but have resigned ourselves to being day visitors as opposed to campers, my wife can drive me there on both days if necessary, I know I won't feel like driving only3 days after the op, thanks for the thoughts of a rescue operation though.

Hi Bill, pre booking has closed, but you can pay at the gate for Thursday through to Sunday.
All campers have to be off site by mid day Monday.

Can one pay on the gate for one night? We were thinking of coming for the day only on Saturday but it occurs to me that we could possibly come on Friday and stay over, as something we'd planned for Friday has been moved.

Think your find that's a no. There is no way of policing a one night stop, you could pay for one and stay for 4 .
