Thanks again to @toledo, @TheHat plus supporting partners for their hard work this weekend - Tanya and I had a great weekend.

Good to meet up with @ludo (although I still need to have that brandy) @Hyacinth 1 (Liz giving Tanya bad tips.....and Jamie Oliver cooking all weekend).

Good beers and company with @Dave K and new introduction to @cally @funflair to name a few.

See some of you again at Malvern.....

Thanks Mick, great to see you both as always.
Big thanks to the Marshalls fo sorting out another good weekend, apologies to @toledo ,I crashed out late on Saturday afternoon and didn't make the beers at 6, sorry about that, we weren't being anti social, I'll blame it on the long drive :), I'll make a point to try harder at Malvern!
We must have been drowsy as we bought a new van at the show, we're blaming @Mickx and his wife Tanya for being a bad influence :D2

Many thanks @toledo and @TheHat for all their hard work (y), the show did not get any better this year and having chat to a stall holder that pays £800 for his pitch and the buses taking his customers into town, I can only see it going one way.
But had a nice weekend meeting up with old friends and making new ones. :D Bob and Janie.

Thank you so much to the brilliant Marshalls (@toledo and polly and @TheHat and Mrs Hat) for all their hard work-much appreciated(y)
We werent't particularly impressed with the show but camping with the funsters made up for it all and we would go again just for that.
Warners really need to make it worthwhile/viable for traders or things will just get worse:(

Was really good to see familiar faces again and meet new (to us Funsters)
Thank you so much to our Saturday night musicians around Dave and Polly's van - fantastic talent(y)

I thought that the show had gone downhill from last year. In 2016 there were a number of stalls selling more general camping stuff, chairs etc and some specialists, none of which came this time. I had a short shopping list and did not manage to get one thing that was on it!

Although there were plenty of units camping, apart from Friday morning the show seemed quiet and I did not think that there were many day visitors on the Saturday or Sunday. Based on that I think that those traders that were there might be a bit reluctant to come next time. Maybe there are just too many shows now and they can't all be big ones like Peterborough and Malvern.

I shall still have the same shopping list when I get to Malvern, hopefully I will be lucky there.

fingers crossed for you Jim. We did peteborough in the rain in 2016 and thought it had gone downhill from 2015 in terms of the stalls. We think Warners are squeezing traders dry. Their greed will ultimately backfire on them.
Malvern is our favourite show (gutted we cannot get there this year) so enjoy it anyway. Sorry we didnt see you much at the Norfolk show, was good to meet you at the whisky meet

Actually I think it is a good rally even if the show is rubbish, but Warners need enough traders to come along to make it viable or I guess it will stop. Because of the location I was able to make a bit of a trip of it (CCC THS at Hunstanton, Whisky meet then the Show, my intention had been to go on somewhere else in Norfolk for a few days to make a 4th stop, but looking at the forecast I decided to return home.

over a Year Yay................
Back from Norfolk, we stopped off & spent 2 more nights @ the angel & on the 2nd day it brightened up......
As for the Norfolk show we have done all of them @ I must say I was very disappointed with this one there was a shortage of stall holders & some were occupying more than one place.....
needless to say I do not think we will be attending the 4th year & I predict that to be the last year from talking to the stall holders.

However on the up side we as Motorhome fun did as we always did & that is the FUN side of fun we had FUN...... we met some old & new friends & enjoyed ourselves as ourselves relaxed & had some FUN......

Until the next meet................ x

We were also disappointed with the stall holders at the show, or the lack of them, but there seemed to be more motorhome dealers than before, we have just changed our van and weren't interested in viewing more vans.
A friend who runs an electric bike shop in Cromer told me that Warners had told him that because that there were so many electric bike stands, that he would have to bid for his pitch next year!

A lot of traders who attended last year complained about poor takings, so didn't re-book.
There always seems to be a lot of ebike sellers at shows. We didn't do too bad for a smaller show and we also made a break of it as we went on to the coast for a couple of days, so it wasn't all about earning money.
I don't think people realize what it takes to trade at these shows. The stands are not cheap, Then there are other expenses for staffing the stand and getting there and back, then theres all the other usual business expenses like insurance, tax accountants etc. Then if the weather is poor we can lose a lot of money.
If I was just doing the shows just for the money I would have quit a long time ago. There is a good atmosphere and we meet with friends new and old and at the end of the day we hope to have FUN and enjoy the shows.
Norfolk was done well by Warners, We enjoyed the music during the show in the centre of the catering area and the entertainment was good. Plus Norfolk is such a nice area to visit.

We hope to be back next year
