Got a booking with Brittany Ferry to Santander on 29th December, probably will have to postpone it (to use on returning to UK) as can’t get the PCR result/certificate on time for the sailing. Thinking of crossing to France and driving via Spain to Portugal.

Question for all of you that traveled Lately to Spain through France or planing to travel soon: how do you manage to overcome the non essential travel restriction, that may invalidate the Van, Travel, Breakdown Insurances??

The vehicle insurance and breakdown cover shouldn't be affected as they can't 'catch' CV! The only one is travel insurance and for that you need to read the policy terms carefully as some provide cover for CV situations, others don't, note also of those that do provide CV cover many restrict it to single trip policies.
