Yep, it’s been discussed many times before, but I’ve now ordered a gym flooring tile! Maybe of interest to people with noisy pumps…
it's been useful to hear the jackhammer at 2 am when a leak developed one Christmas Eve and soaked part of the carpet, but it could be a little quieter.
So i‘ve ordered one of these, a tile used for flooring in areas of exercise. It is 10mm thick with foam one side and a heavy rubber on the other. I was going to put it on the current mounting surface with the harder rubber uppermost and attach the pump and the little reservoir thing onto it. i’ll also put some old yoga matting around the pipe work and the hard surfaces as well. I was thinking of also putting Some rubber grommets under the screws as well. the tiles are 2 foot square so lots to work with! £9.99 a tile including p&p from a certain online auction site so not too much if it doesn’t work…
There‘s a sound meter app on the iPhone (if it’s sensitive enough…) so I will do a before and after reading.
