Hi when charging after a few mins this noise starts, it will also do it when heavy use of inverter. There are two cooling fans at the top I have temp stopped both but noise continues??

Victron Multiplus II 2x120 - Too Loud?

I'm considering a Victron Multiplus II 2x120 for a 45 foot boat environment, but wondering if the fan / other noises from the unit would be too much for the small space? I've seen some reports of relatively high noise from this unit, and wondering if anyone has some real-world experiences...

It definitely not the fans, but it is gradually getting louder, sounds like something fouling a fan blade but it is not the fans? All seems to be ok re charging (200 amps of lithium Transporter batteries)

I have used and fitted a number of Multiplus's, both larger and smaller than yours, and that sound to me is not usual. They certainly can be a bit noisy when under greater loads but that noise is not right (IMO).

I would email/call the Victron distributor you bought it from and ask him for his opinion.

The multiplus has a substantial iron transformer that makes a noise due to magnetostriction - the slight size variation when magnetised and demagnetised. If it is mounted on a thin wooden or sheet metal panel, that can act as a sounding board, and can amplify the sound, especially if it just happens to be near the resonant frequency.
