Noisey water pump (1 Viewer)

my shurflo water pump is under one of the lounge seats in what is basically a wooden box. It is mounted to the wall on rubber fixings but it is still noisey. My question is. Can I put some sound deadening inside the box? Does the pump get too hot whilst in use for while e.g. During showering. What do the resident experts think?

If it's fixed to the wall I would have thought that's where the problem is. So sound deadening won't make a deal of difference in my opinion. Can you move it off the wall?
