Noisey 12volt Fans

    We have had many 12v fans for when we visit hot places and they can be worse than useless, making too much noise and vibrating. Not for the first time I have just 'fixed' our little oscillating, vibrating sleep killer. As I have discovered before, they are not only cheaply made but poorly finished off. Searching all parts of the plastic fan and the moulding, I discovered little bits of the plastic that had not been trimmed off and with a Stanley knife, removed them. The fan no longer vibrates and while not silent, is now tolerable.

    if you have 80 quid burning a hole in your pocket.. it's called... Endless Breeze.. made in the US ..

    or.. buy a 12inch desk fan for under 20 quid.. if you need to use off EHU, buy a small inverter ..

    I didn't realise there were such strong views held about fans! The Endless Breeze has been mentioned on here many times hence my cryptic response above. For us, apart from being quiet it is very compact, being only about 2" thick after the feet have been folded in so it slides into a corner of a wardrobe. We don't have the space for a large desk type fan.
    It makes a great dog cooler too.
