This week is not only a bank holiday but its half term for the schools and I have my 14 year old son Jacob for the week. I decided we wouldn’t go too far afield from where he lives with his mum but yet somewhere none of us has been before.

We used that site for a 1 night stop over a couple of years ago with our 8.5 metre 6t A class.

Lovely site BUT certainly not going again.

Re mobile phone reception, did you notice that they actually have a telephone box on site, anybody remember telephone boxes

We used it as a stop before we got the ferry from Dover 3 years ago and that old caravan was there then ! We arrived in the dark and wondered what we were letting ourselves in for, the road to it was like a ride at Alton Towers It was a lovely site with nice walks to the shore but we didn’t have time to enjoy it. We would probably use it again but maybe stop a couple of days to take advantage of the location.

When I mentioned to the warden about the mobile signal he said thats why we had the telephone box put there "and works just fine"

yes Martin.. we have two fine examples in our village.. :thumb:
I guess they are for tourists who get lost in the sticks..

mobile phone signal is at best patchy.. I get none indoors.. :Sad:
