For now.

So am I stuck in spain beyond my 90 days at not fault of my own? Serious question.....
You are at the moment unless you get a direct ferry. I would expect France to open to us within a couple of weeks - fingers crossed 🤞

I can’t understand why Brittany ferries are not putting more vessels on the Spanish route ?. I have asked them, twice and still no response.

Another reason why the POSL link to Zeebrugge should have been saved.

I think it refers to travellers from the UK to France not returning to the UK from other countries via France.

It says to reach a residence in the EU not in the UK so nothing changed as far as I can see?
It says their country of residence ... before it says EU.

I interpret that to mean they like other governments haven't even considered those who may already be in the eu and need to get home.

But im not overly concerned because it all changes almost daily these days . They are all clueless when it comes to this.

Greece currently cant decide if we are going in to lockdown again or just tightening restrictions. But either way something changes on the 3rd January apparently

This is what it says

Following a French Government decision, on 28/12/2021, unless they hold French residency, British citizens are now considered 3rd country citizens and can no longer transit France by road to reach their country of residence in the EU.

So I read that as if my country of residence is say Germany and I am in Spain I can no longer transit through France to get to Germany however I can to get to the UK as my residence is not in the EU?

Maybe we should look to boycott France and it’s products in the future.

I was one a Francophile. We never holidayed anywhere else.

But as all this continues, the angrier I get with the French. Closing tunnel, not policing the migrant situation and the fishing row !.

Now this ?

Surely if your country of residence is germany then it doesn't make any difference if you were originally a uk citizen or not.

If you live in Germany then you're of no danger.
The point of the restrictions is to limit anyone bringing covid in to France from plague island

OK well you could be going to your EU residence in Germany from the UK which was allowed before but not now?

Anyway thats how I read it, I am not bothered as I am not planning on moving to Germany anyway but was only trying to help. I am sure anyone who needs to get back to the UK can do so.:xThumb:

French government decision 28th December. N'est-ce pas?
The original decision to ban all UK tourists was published on 17 December. The 28 December announcement only tweaked it. Previous to that if a UK passport holder owned a property in France UK they would be allowed in. Now they are not allowed in unless they have French residency.

Yep like last year all these daft restrictions are clear as mud and open to interpretation.

I think its nuts that they are willing to risk someone from the uk bringing infection to france if they plan to stay in france and mingle ....but are against anyone driving straight through.

Makes zero sense to me.

But im not planning to be near france till at least the end of February by which time they will have changed the rules again many times.

Safer here at the moment by the look of it over 208k Covid cases in France and higher death rate than us, Poland has had near in 750 deaths in a day so I think I will stay put as it seems Europe is going tits up!
