I have just downloaded and paid £25 for copilot, to then find out that I don't have enough room to download the maps for Western Europe. So how do you get your money back for an app you can't use?

Can you limit which countries you download the maps for to the space you have on the phone?

I have only tried to download western Europe, I have taken off all photos and apps not used and is no where near enough, it's on my husband's phone and he doesn't use it much.

You can download the maps to an SD card.....if you have one. That's what I do on my tablet.

I think it has done it now, finally got my husband to delete Spotify so fingers crossed. Adding new sd cards complicates it for me, as we travel I will try to get help from people more savvy!

When you download a map there is an option to save it to an SD card or internally near the top of the page where all the maps are listed. However, in my experience you can't mix where they are stored or move them. So I suggest buying a suitable SD card, probably the micro size, assuming the phone has a slot. Don't skimp on size, go for 32Gb although 16 would suffice but you can use the card for other stuff. You can buy cards in any large supermarket. When you've got the card inserted delete the map you've downloaded then download it again to the card. If you have problems uninstall the app and start again - you won't need to buy it again. :)
