No 'Out and About' from CCC this month

Morning All,

Following the large 'Thump' on the doormap, I picked up the CCC Directory of Sites, Map,
and monthly magazine.

I noted that what was not included was the 'Out and About' magazine that gives advance notice
of Weekend Rallies and Temporary Holiday Sites.

I am reliably informed that CCC says, "We couldn't send it because of the weight of the parcel" Eh! What!!!

The more likely reason is that it didn't get to the wrappers and packers in time, (or someone forgot)

So, if you want to see what is on offer, other than our own MHF rallies, you will have to go online.

Same here - though I was surprised they haven't cancelled them seeing as we told them we had sold our van so won't be renewing our membership. Apparently the system used means they continue sending magazines and emails until the membership finishes.

Page 14 of the magazine states that the Out and About will be sent separately. Last sentence on the New Siteseeker guide.

Have always found it much easier to use the Site Seeker or Out & About Apps, even though they are still antiquated and clunky just like their website which constantly gets you to login. Also, you should be able to add the dimensions of your unit in and save them.

Mine arrived slit at the top, sans said out and about, and a note from the Post Office saying sorry you had to receive this package damaged there might be something missing. So if it exceeded the weight, that could be they've taken it out? It also said please keep package and contents and go to their website to see if you're eligible to claim.

Another shout for "Out and About" app..
Use it all the time and find it much better than the paper copy which does not cover some events until nearer the date.

Don't know about windows but got it on our Samsung... Out and About from Google Play.
Edit.... there is 2 differant apps... Site Seeker which is same as your Big Sites Book, and Out and About app that lists THS's, Rally's, Meets etc.

I've downloaded the outandabowt app but can't find the THS and Rallies bit, even in members area. Where is it?

the app only covers meets and holiday sites , have you got the correct app

Once in app you can search town, post code etc or if you select view all ( top right of screen a full list of all meets, rally's and THS's appear.

I used to use both but my point was that I was surprised that they didn't stop sending magazines when I said we had sold up so wouldn't be camping again.

Now that's strange... I have just searched my Out and About and on my android phone and between today, 1st Feb and 31st Dec it is listing 53 THS's and 169 Club Meets.

I use the App but do find the magazine is easier to see where you can go rather than keep typing in different areas.
I’m a digital member but hoping to get the magazine from my brother.

I think on the app you press the funnel in top right corner to decide if you want ths or meets and they list them in date order

You don't have to "keep typing in differant areas"...
Put your search in.. either dates or areas or type of meet and select maps instead of list and it will pinpoint all your selections on a map that you can then pick and choose from

Maybe the app did an update?
If you click on the gear wheel top left (settings) it will show when it was last updated. Click the refresh button but you need to be logged in first.
