Seems no need for CV documents or other checks other than passports.

 
And possibly proof of liquid assets, bank statements, etc to demonstrate your are self sufficient for the duration of your stay. Not that I have ever been asked.

not sure about 'food limitations' - they are not a function of the covid crisis, they are more to do with what you can bring into the EU from outside it.

I always worry that it would just be my bloody luck that they should decide to have a purge on the day I have got some restricted items in our fridge. Not that, personally, I can see any point in bringing stuff like meat and dairy products from the UK, it is not as if they can't be bought in France, and for me the pleasure of travel is having different experiences, and doing things differently from home.
