Assuming it's a plastic bodied hairdryer it should be fine. Not ideal, but the risk will be close to zero - assuming the hairdryer is in good shape. Just ensure the wet hair doesn't come too close to the nozzle where the hot air comes out and particularly the air intake.on a campsite in Belgium and the hook up tester shows no earth. I am getting complaints as the hairdryer is required in the morning. My question is, is it safe?

How do they grow the sprouts then??No earth in Belgium? Perhaps they call it soil over there?
Double insulated, most areOur hairdryer doesn't have an earth, it's just twin cable.
