Hi guys, we are wanting to go to Crufts in March and would like to spend the night before somewhere nice. We will be travelling from Castleford, West Yorkshire to the NEC. Caravan club sites fully booked already! Somewhere we could go for a walk in the afternoon would be lovely and then maybe close to a nice counrty pub for some good food. Hope I am not asking for too much!!

Trawl through the CL section...Some pubs are amenable to paying punters ! I have never been refused a stop on a pub car park..obviously you don't have the usual amenities !!:thumb:

Thanks. Do you mean CL section on this website? If so where is it?

Try motorhomestopover.co.uk

It is a web site started by a pub landlord who is also a motorhomer.
Basically, it is a list of pubs around the country that will allow you to park for the night if you are on route to somewhere else.

Might be of help too you. :thumb:

Or of course there's us.
We've got a farm shop, a vineyard, a craft centre and two pubs within about half an hour of the NEC.

Shameless self-promotion.
Sorry Jim.
Feel free to delete with maximum prejudice!
But then again, Chris did ask...::bigsmile:

A pub with carpark

If you do not mind carrying on past Birmingham, then a little journey back to birmingham, then there is a nice pub, with brilliant food, hard standing or grass area for overnighting. No ehu but there is water and dump point.

The Moat House Inn - King Coughton - Studley - Nr Alcester - B49 5QF

Shout if you do decide to use this as we are only a few miles away.
