This maybe handy for those with drop down beds or similar. Ginny just thought I was being daft as normal or simply bored!

I could never make out the time on the clock in the dark in the night, fumbled about for tortch which was not where I left it, and switching main light on was not an option as I can't reach switch without waking Ginny up!

This is perfect though and I can discretely see the clock without waking Ginny!

Just a 9 volt 6LR61 (sort used in smoke detectors etc), a simple circuit with a LED spotlight lamp which conveniently the prongs fit into a connector block, some Velcro to afix, little switch above my head and hey presto! The battery I've put into a cycle repair kit box.

Even Ginny likes it :), and I can see the clock now (y).

Just need to get another spare battery for smoke alarm .

Sorry, but if you cant see the clock because its dark why would you need to know the time....its night time, thats close enough.

Wouldn't it have been simpler to get another clock that you press to illuminate and stick it above you on the ceiling????

Once the date and time is set why would you need to access the back.
And if its a must, stick it with velcro.

If it does what you want it to do, it's fine.

    Old Chinese proverb:

    Black cat, white cat.
If it catches mice it's a good cat.

Crazy, isn't it. You could not post it across the UK for that price.

We have one from Maplin with outside and inside temperature. Very good for "it's too cold to get up now". But I can't find it anywhere now.

Velcro as ppj said, that's what I've done with mine and it's much bigger than the one in the link, and doesn't drop off either!
