Got our paper Covid pass’s but do we need a digital version on our phones if we travel to France next month. If so can we just take a photo copy of it?Not booked to go yet as waiting to see situation in next couple of weeks!Got French friends who we Havnt seen for 2 years and we are anxious to see.😊

Paper suffices everywhere and is quick to produce compared to using a mobile.
A photo of the QR code will also do the trick provided its the 2nd dose one .

Just check if there is an expiry date. There is a similar to thread running on here and the digital one does expiry in a month and you have to renew via the app. Not sure on a printed version.

Down load tous anti Covid app. Pop your certificate In the wallet section and all will be fine. All working well out here.

The barcode expiry date is renewed each time you log in, so it should always show an expiry date a month forward so be aware of that if you print off a copy from the pdf download.

I was in France a couple of weeks ago and used the QR code on my phone and a printout and made no difference. Most people just scanned it and it showed the info they were looking for, so was no bother. :)

We used the NHS digital App on our phones when visiting Spain in July/August this year. The pain if you want to call it that, is getting yourself registered on the App as it holds all your medical history. However, very easy to use and the NHS keeps it up to date and accepted by border staff.

No, you’re fine with the paper copies. We’re in France now and we are just using our paper ones with no problem.

Can’t see anything about an expiry date on them.just dates we had our jabs!
Perhaps different on the Scottish version. Ours show a '2D Barcode Expiry Date' of 3rd & 4th Sep 2022 [I downloaded mine a day after Elaine did hers]. We each have both copies on our respective phones, in PDF, Google Drive [available offline box ticked] and inside the Wallet of the Tous Covid App, and we'll have a paper copy with us, so, unless we forget our Document File [did in Nov 2019 and had a 352 mile round trip to the hovel to retrieve it from the Dining Room table!], break our phones [mine fell apart 6 weeks ago!], and/or forget to charge the phones as part of a complete brain fade exercise, we should be able to produce a valid document for the nice man with the big boots, combat uniform and automatic weapon ...

Just come back from France i had a paper copy for the customs and border people kept in van and I used my phone and my little card showing I had injections all were accepted in cafes, Monets gardens and chateaus. Never had a problem with any of them.

Beachfront cafe this morning in Royan. The sign says it all, and no-one has any problem complying with it via phone apps or paper certificates, our NHS paper ones included! The staff have a 'Go/No Go' app which takes just a second to scan and decide!
