Anyone needing to change headlight to UK configuration?

Lenny HB bellabee not resolved other issue yet.
Whilst “HeadlightHymergate” continues, for those of you with the headlight pictured, I took a look inside one.

For you to alter for Euro/UK use simply remove the plastic cap then move the lever arrowed.

It only moves about 25mm up and down so easy to do, which way I know not but obviously the opposite way to it is now !

My problem not resolved yet it's booked into J G Auto at Bognor for the 10th (they are closed next week).

As for the headlamp adjustment when I put mine in the flat beam position it gives an awful beam with a big dip in the centre. My test guy let it go through for importation but said it wouldn't pass an MOT. I will have to see if I can get a passable beam with it moved partway, otherwise beam benders for the MOT.

I’m hoping mine are going to be OK as when mine were done for import the chap that did it took it out and did something which passed then but He has left the garage now, got until next June to find out anyway.😊

Mine got extended to 13th Oct, no chance at the moment with the LHS DRL & indicator not working.

It seems Hymer and Hella seem to have problems with headlight builds. 10 years ago it was the spontaneous shattering of the nearside unit that caused so much grief and now the plastic variety are causing issues. Three hymers parked up, 2 glass headlights misted on the inside, plastic headlight with conifer bits inside, but they were all intact.

They go for stupid designer headlamps where as nearly all the other A Class manufacturers fit the standard Hella offering but that would be too sensible for Hymer.

Try pricing one up, not to mention a windscreen and a mirror!!!

Hey, Speve Sorry about the old post but I've been trying to find this "lever" for some months now and just came across your answer. Thanks for that and the pictures. Had a rummage round mine and I imagine its not too easy as its very tight and no way to see what you're doing. If I fail, I've got a set of Eurolite stickers.

I've never bothered before as I don't travel abroad at night but got a pang of conscience last year when tunneling through the Alps to Italy.

You are most welcome it’s a right pain in the butt my lights failed this year but Adams Morey guys managed to stick the baffle into position to get a pass but reckon it won’t last long.
So a work still in progress after six years😂😂

I don't think they work on those lights because the projector lamp is set back behind the plastic lens. I used to leave mine set to flat dipping but it's an awful beam pattern. AM fail them on an MOT but my normal place always passed them.

I’m planning on going back to my old garage for MOTs as they always passed it and even adjusted it to pass on one occasion as did AM however they said it would not pass again.🙄

I already have the stickers. The're going on whether they work or not now. Can't waste a fiver.🚍
