Boxer
Hi. I am new here. Just bought a 2002 boxer 2.0. Moho I am considering a remap to increase pulling power. Have any of you had this done to your older Boxer ? If so was it worth it ?
Look forward to being part of your community.
Thanks Peter.

Hi and welcome.

I have had our motorhome remapped about 4 years ago with absolutely no regrets.
Mine is a 2.3 multi jet fiat though

Thanks for getting back. Did it improve pulling power ? We are looking foreward to getting away later in the year when things calm down a bit. We had an old Talbot express 2.5 TD. Never let us down, so hopefully the Boxer will be the same.
I really believe it just needs a bit more power up hill etc.
Thanks again. Pete & Diane.

It depends on the type of map you have, mine increased bhp but mostly torque.
It pulls like a train. Up hill.

Since 2016 and caravanning before that
We had our 05 Boxer remapped and were very pleased. Better torque and a couple of mpg extra too

It is good to have more torque, but remember the clutch is. The weakest link your pulling a brick on wheels that spends its life fully or in a lot of cases overloaded and the clutch will suffer if care not taken.
