AutoHomes Merlin
Hi, Fairly late to motorhomes, in Nov 18 blessed with a 1995 Autohomes Merlin T4 2.4 Diesel, tick's all our boxes except the 0-60 in 2.5hours... I'm going to install 2x100W Solar flex panels (floating roof skin) and wondered, before I drill the roof for cable access and destroy internal timber framework, does anyone know if any 'build' drawings exist anywhere? or any experience of avoiding woodwork?
Regarding the 0-60 numbers, I've learned to chill and enjoy the journey! I have it on good authority that the injector pump has yellow paint on the screw heads, a professional set up? It's previous owner was a bus/diesel engineer, say no more? She was very sluggish until I came across an Italian Diesel pump and injector manufacturer, they make their own cleaner...it is awesome, anybody interested? drop me a line. Cheers Andy

Welcome šŸ‘ Is there not a good adhesive you can bond it as opposed to drilling? Sikaflex range may be worth a look.

Hi BnB, Thanks for the reply, yes I'm using sikaflex but the roof will need drilling for the pos and neg cables. I'll use a weather box with glands sikaflex'd to the roof and it's this 20mm hole that could destroy or at least severely weaken any timber structure within the skin , just my luck to drill blind and get unlucky:( I've tried a stud finder but the ceiling material must be too dense... or the owner!!:ROFLMAO: Thanks again BnB
