Hi, Me and the family are off round Europe for the first time in June, looking to spend no more that 20k on a van/truck/motorhome. It needed to have fixed beds and bunk beds and seat belts for the kids any ideas what I should be looking for? Also tips on good places to go.
thanks .

Hi from East Sussex and welcome :welc:
Regarding a van type, there are so many that fit your requirements it's just a matter of getting out there and having a look. (y)
There are so many good places to go in Europe so just get a van bought and get out there ;)
Good luck in your choices.

Hi, the NEC sounds like a good plan! Kids are 4 and 7 , I'm thinking beach life from June til November , we'd like to know more about and where the free campsites are? But we don't want to be in truck stop if you know what I mean..

Hi and welcome to FUN , a good place to see motorhomes is on eBay, where you can put in your preferences and price etc but you need to be careful as there are some scams on there but if you use common sense then you could just find the van of your dreams. (y)

Good advice AND if you do find summat you like post it here (BEFORE buying) and receive the wisdom of the many MH owners on MHF it could save you money

There are lots of aires along the coasts of France but not all are free because they tend to be busy. Buy a copy of All the Aires and check this website http://www.campingcar-infos.com/index1.htm

But best thing to do is pay your £10.00 subscription and ask lots of questions on here, there's a lot of funsters with lots of knowledge.

Hi there, welcome to fun. How exciting for you all.
Our Motorhome would be great for you. Bunks and king size bed. Sent you a link. Not for sale yet. But soon. We are wanting a bit more than your budget. But not a lot. (y)

Hello! The only things I would advise are to check the payload of the van (Maximum permitted weight when fully loaded less the weight of the van before you add your stuff). You might find there is very little left for you, your passengers, your kit and clobber, bikes etc etc so you may want to go for an up-rated van - but then you will need a C1 on your licence - or need to tow a trailer again with appropriate licence.

We struggled to find the same. Unless it had train like seating in the back, with a table in between. Then we found the mizar gtl living top class.
Selling now , well soon , as we are building our own pvc. We want 25k Ono. Pic shows garage door open .
4 brand new Michelin Agalis camping tyres .
Cambelt done last year, just had breaks all done for trip to Outer Hebrides .
All professionally re foamed and re upholstered in an upto date modern fabric.
Loads of extras. Including solar panel , fiama zip store privacy room , PM for full details, If you or anyone Else is interested.
Up for sale soon as we get round to doing the hab check.
You need to become a member as you've used up your free posts now. It will be the best £10 you spend. Especially if your new to motorhoming and wanting to travel Europe.

Hi Shano , if I were you for a specific question I would start a new thread something like : Touring Europe for 12months HELP PLEASE: otherwise it will get lost in introductions, good luck sounds like an adventure.

Edit : Great minds think alike crossed posts. (y)
