- Never owned a camper always used tents etc
Hello all.
I’ve just joined as I’m seriously thinking of building a camper/overlander out of some sort of lwb 4wd panel van, that could potentially also have space in the garage area (a la race vans) for the Honda quad bike.
I am used to camping with tents and pickups, however the resent years of very wet mild winters has made this not too much fun and I would like to include the Mrs and the kids more, walking around in mud bogs from the tent to the fire etc doesn’t appeal to them.
So a camper/race van with some ability to off-road down muddy tracks is my next cunning plan.
This will also double up as my daily run around, although as I work away and live in the middle of the sticks and dislike being anywhere busy, size for parking spaces etc isn’t really an issue.
I look forward to picking the collective brain and asking some questions which have probably been asked by many a newcomer.
Cheers
