Newbie - query re windscreen replacement on Hymer (1 Viewer)

Has anyone got any recommendations for the best insurance company re: cover for Hymer A Class, given that the windscreen would cost £2k to replace? Have already looked at Adrian Flux. Does anyone have any experience of them? Are they any good? Is there anyone better?

I have recently had a front screen replaced on Knaus A Class....

I'm with Caravan Club ins @ £354 for 2nd year... First year was with AIB @ £350 as a total newbie...

I changed to CC because of windscreen and driving other vehicles...

Replacement all went smoothly - once they'd sourced a screen...

It cost me £60 excess... Very happy with that....

Other insurers would have been a full claim!!!...

Im with Safeguard and had mine replaced a few month ago, couldnt fault Safeguard at all, was in Croatia when it happened but on advising them they got Autoglass in the UK to call me within 1 hour. They advised I was safe to continue my travels and when back in UK to call Autoglass and arrange a replacement.

Very happy with all the communication and fitting by Autoglass, was also a genuine Dethleffs Bertone windscreen too and wouldnt hesitate recommending them.

AXA use Autoglass and they have a Motorhome specialist team and had a screen in stock, they did a good job.

We are with Safeguard and recently changed to a Burstner Aviano, having checked out the cost of windscreen replacement, I was very pleased when Safeguard confirmed the unlimited windscreen cover!

I had my Hymer windscreen replaced 2 years ago. Insured with Saga and only £75 excess to pay. No hassle with insurer.

I took my van to the specialist team and they had it overnight and did the replacement in their workshop.

They will come to you, home address or campsite, they came to my home address and then to a campsite when I had a slight issue with the position of seal ( not a leak, just the seal not sitting right) after 6 months. I would recommend them.

I am with C&Cc I had my windscreen replaced on homer b654 last year, I paid £75 excess.
My hyper is a 1993 model and it had to be made in Germany and took 3 months to arrive and br fitted. The garage told me it cost £1800 so I was very happy to pay the £75.

Just got my renewal from Comfort, it says " maximum payable in any one glass claim £3000 "

Hope thats enough!

I queried the windscreen cover with AIB at last renewal and they confirmed in email that cover was sufficient for replacement screen with no max quoted.

Was told by confort yestetday there is no way on thier system were you can pay extra for unlimited cover looks like we will be changing to another company when its time to renew

Had our screen replaced back in April an Exsis costt around £1700 had to pay £70 excess with Comfort.
That was a genuine Hymer replacement had to wait a couple of weeks to get it from Germany.
