hiya ! Been out today and put down a deposit on a 2000 auto sleeper talisman FSH spotless inside, well chuffed. Pick up on the 1st March and pay the balance. Next on the list is tax, insurance and start on the shopping oh and digging stuff out the shed.

Hi mltzimad you're right the body is a one piece moulding so should be ok damp wise . Mrs D and i have looked at many coachbuilt vans in the same age range with all the seams and joints plastered with mastic sealant! Our old bus will be parked on the street and hopefully used all year round

That's what I said - in a way - monocoque, same as my old Clubman, no damp and solid as a rock.

Hi Ive just worked out the talisman body is called different names depending on the base vehicle, transit, vw e.c.t. DOH!

Onward and upward, insurance done britstops book turned up superdooper. I forgot to mention earlier the van is a petrol version 1998cc so at least I won't have to plug the Lappy into it like my diesel Vauxhall if it plays up!! 4 sleeps to pick up!

I go and pick up the Peugeot tomorrow .i hope the weather cheers up! If it's the same lump as the Talbot we had about 10 years ago it'll be simple to work on . Old truckers rule

Hiya van home parked in the layby out side but no Piccies yet because it's chucking it down. I got loads of service history and a receipt for a rebuilt gearbox in 2015? anyway she drives nice so I had a good look round inside .will do oil, water and tyre pressures when it stops raining oh and fill the water tank try the heater fridge hob etc.
