Pretty much got the hang of it now!
Hi There
My name is Paul Gosbee and we have just bought an Autotrail Dakota SE Mercedes 316 cdi motorhome of 2003 vintage with just 32,000 on the clock. We are planning to tour the UK once Covid is under control and it is wise to do so. Only experienced 5 days in a rented campervan ( thought we would try before we buy!) so far but have a good friend and mentor who has many years of touring to guide us. Our MH is quite spacious compared to the camper so we are very pleased with it. It still needs a habitation check as we have discovered some issues which need to be sorted and alos a habitation check will pick up those things we dont know about. One big ask though, it has a Vision 315 aeriel that does not appear to be working. The Cello TV works fine in the house using a normal terrestrial aerial but has no signal in the MH. The fly lead is fine as is the coaxial lead from the Vision Plus control box to the TV aerial socket in the MH so it must be either the control box or aerial. I have read mixed reviews on the new Vision Plus 355 aerial so I was wondering which one to get? The Vision Plus 355 would fit on the old shoe so less hassle to fit but I don't want a duff product. Any suggestion would be most welcome. Thanks very much

Thank you all for the welcome and greetings. Hopefully we might meet up somewhere when Covid is under control.
Here's a picture of our MH.

Thank you yes it is. My son is a fully trained Mercedes Commercial vehicle mechanic so he said we just HAD to get a Merc Sprinter based MH! I have booked him to come round after Dec 2nd to sort some minor issues. Having children can prove very useful at times!!::bigsmile:::bigsmile:
