Hi Everyone

As you guessed from the title new to the funsters and live in the heelands. Just got into motorhoming, after moving here, and find it fantastic way to enjoy this great country.
Have travelled abroad quite a lot and found that Scotland was the pick of the best, for us anyway. We just see where the weather is good and off we go, when thew weather changes back home we go, simples :yeah:
Going down to Glasgow show, to pick up ideas and then down to have a look at Galloway, so any advice on wild motorhoming in the area would be much appreciated.
Not sure where to put this but we live near Glen Affric and the forestry commission have put up a "No overnight camping" sign :Tongue1: at the Loch Beinn a 'Mheadhoin which is a real shame.
Looking forward to a great year of motorhoming, already been away twice this year.
Cheers for now

Welcome

I am relatively new here too, going to SECC on Friday to look around as well. Then again I live in the City so its easy. You will find the depth of knowledge on here brilliant, and everybody is helpful and friendly.

Hi and welcome. We too will be at the show, probably thursday providing the van passes MOT tomorrow, then off to Crieff and on to Edinburgh for the weekend.

We live in the west of Galloway, there are plenty of places to park up in the Galloway Forest Park either near Glentrool or on the Newton Stewart/New Galloway road. Don't know about further east though.

Best of luck.

Bill
