Hi Everyone,
Thanks for accepting me here.
We bought a motorhome in the summer but because of Covid we have hardly been out in it.
It is a 1990 Hymer 56 with Citroen C25 engine. It is left hand drive and was first registered in France before being brought over to the UK. We have a 2nd home in France and our idea was to use the van to travel throughout France and other parts of mainland Europe.
We would also like to leave the van in France because driving it to France every year through England - always the worst part of the journey - isn't fun. One problem would be that we would need to bring it back to the UK every year for its annual MOT.
Does anyone on here know how easy/difficult it would be to re-register the van in France so I could leave it in France all the time. Have any of you done something similar?
Be great to hear from anyone.
Cheers,
Archie

Welcome, if I lived where you do I wouldn't be doing much travelling. Its a great area to explore, even with the rain and midges :xsmile:

Thank you.
I will check out the website.
Of course, we wouldn't be staying there for more than 90 days at a time under the new rules.

But you would be leaving it there whilst you are in the UK? Every ex-pat I knew out there had a french registered car and if they had brought it over from the UK they had to register it in France within 6 months. .. I did love it there .. Aquitaine.
