Hi. I'm new to the world of motorhomes.

I would welcome your help. We are comparing a 2009 Auto Sleeper Broadway EK 4 berth done 11,000, and a new Swift Lifestyle 624. Same layout, about the same price, but different standard.

Do you have any advise or comments please.

    Many thanks.

There is a school of thought which says buying second hand is a better move financially as the first owner takes the big hit on depreciation. There is also the argument you may find you have the wrong layout and want to change it after a year or two. Some people go through several vehicles before finding something which suits them. In this case 2nd hand makes a lot of sense. Having said that nothing beats that smell of a new vehicle! We bought new, but a very different sort of MH to what you are looking at so I can't comment on these models.

That 'new smell' is actually dangerous, so another reason for buying second hand :)

I agree completely with DevonBeekeeper. We've had out Tracker for just over 2 years and thought it was ideal. We are about to change it for a different layout.
    Hope this helps.
By the way, welcome to Fun(y)(y)

Thanks for the welcome and comments. It's good to see that this is an active forum, judging by the responses.

Another day in the motorhome hunt and another development. The Auto Sleeper price did not drop enough and the Lifestyle was not as good as hoped. We have now arranged for a 2012 Swift Sundance 590RS to be transferred to a local dealer, with the option of buying it subject to viewing. From what I can see it is somewhere between the two we were considering.

    Again would welcome any comments.

Hi, bought my Swift Bolero from Simpsons at Gt Yarmouth, a very good experience, Brindley or Steve are very helpful and honest, well worth a look.

    Hi and welcome.
I can endorse the above comment. Simpsons and Becks are in the same region and are both worth a look. We didn't buy from either of them (bought private in the end) but both very accomodating.

BTW injebreck99 where are you in Norfolk?
