    Hi all

    So the story so far...

My parents owned various motor homes and me and the other half went away with them a few times. My style is more campervan as it will have to be my main vehicle too. So hopefully on Sunday, if all goes well, I will be picking up a Citreon C15 conversion - not a Romahome.
It's basically the van, but inside the back has been fitted with benches that convert to beds with storage between for a portapotti. So no overhang after the rear wheels. It's also got the electric hook up and comes with a hotplate and electric heater (convection).

So as I write I'm waiting for AIB to call back with my insurance quote. I recently took voluntary redundancy, so not signing on, but hope this isn't going to boost the premium.

Looking forwards to becoming part of the community :)

    Hi and welcome (y)
Is it registered as a van or camper van . I know from reading previous posts that it can make a difference.

Hi all, thanks for the welcome!

As a campervan. AIB still haven't called me back yet. I'll chase them up now.

Hi macdaddy, another bass player? (avatar) Enjoy your travels and remember, you don't necessarily have to arrive to enjoy the journey. Welcome to the fun.

    Hi, yep another bassist!

I actually having a bit of a 'mare at the moment with the insurance. The vehicle is listed on the V5 as a van because there are no structural changes or gas. This means insurers view it as modified van which is sending the premium through the roof. Also wanting it as my main vehicle is not helping.
