Adria Twin 640 SLB
Hi -

I'm living in Belgium since 2004. My last van was another Ducato base Knaus Traveliner back in 2000 - been messing about on boats since then but rising cost of maintaining a yacht plus a partner who gets sick in bad weather has caused me to swallow the anchor.

The dealers here have just phoned me to tell me that my new Adria 640 SLB (Iron grey - 160 hp - autobox) has arrived! It will be interesting to be in a PVC compared to an integral with garage but we did try out a 6m van last summer and everything went smoothly so I think it will work.

Does anyone know which roofrack brand/model (Thule, Fiamma, etc.) Adria fit to the the 640? I want to add a roof rack and it seems to make sense to order the same brand as it is more likely to play nicely with the existing awning mounting brackets.

/R

Before you think of a roof rack get it weighed.

My 640slb, a 140bhp auto with 3/4 tank of fresh water, 3/4 fuel, 2 Bromptons and normal stuff to go away together with myself, wife and medium dog, 3,500kg on the nose.

Also not much free space on the roof due to the solar panel and roof lights.

That said great van, you will enjoy it.

Saw the van today - most exciting. Decided to spec twin 105w solar panels instead of a single 155w - apparently 2 * 155w won't fit :( The van has roof rails already so for my purpose (carrying surfboards) I only need to add a couple of roof bars so the extra weight shouldn't be too much. But indeed I'm going to visit our local weighbridge before going anywhere.

I have 640 SGX and fitted my own bars to the Thule system see Vlog below. Also can get 300 watts solar on the roof easily second Vlog shows them. Worth while joining the Adria Twin Facebook group to get very useful info on the Adria twin range.
