Hi All,
I have been hankering after a motorhome for years. Would like to get a van around £5k to renovate.
Could anyone please advise me on this particular van?

Take a damp meter with you and test it for damp.

If you can get the ref no do a free online mot history check.

Sounds a good well kept van. Good luck

Hi. I agree with @irnbru, it looks clean and well cared for but check out it's genuine, registered to address where you view it.
Also look underneath for rust and inside for damp, including under the carpet, at the sides of seats and inside cupboards.

Good luck, if it's in good condition it'll be a nice first van.
And :welcome3: to Fun.

Damp is your biggest enemy, small damp areas are repairable but if there is a significant amount it could cost more to repair than the van is worth. Check the floor as well as the walls.

11yrs, but many years a tugger.
As said, damp is the killer. Take a damp meter and also stick your nose in every corner and cupboard, for mustiness. Roll around underneath and give the floor a serious dig. It's either been very well cared for, which would be great, or a mess very well cleaned up. If it's the former then it's a good buy, but still worth a haggle. :)

Hi.gif
and a warm welcome from us.

Make sure you give it a good road test. A test drive should not be just along a straight, flat road. You want to try it out on hills – up and down – and to drive it around corners – left and right. It should be driven on at least one stretch of dual carriageway or motorway to get it up to a decent speed. You would need to road test it for between 15 and 30 minutes.

Hope all goes well.

Hello. We started off with a leaky rust bucket called Winnie. She still took us to Poland and back though and despite an alternator failure in Germany, we still had a great holiday.....but this last one in our newer Motorhome, Flo, was fantastic. So go for. No advice from me. Just happy travelling. :ello:

The add says no longer available so if you didn't buy it I think someone else has

I didn't get to see the add, but as others said a Mot history check is invaluable there were a few fairly new vans I viewed that the Mot check put me right off, if something has been advised for a free years in a row and not fixed it gives a good idea how fussy the owner is, I like a clean mirror sheet each year.... Advisories get fixed aswell as the fails
