A couple of pic's from my stay in New York this year. The beaches are good and well looked after. This beach is Fairfield just a short drive up the free-way from the city or 30 minuets from Grand Central on the train.

I didn't know this would show up as a post, I was just testing and learning how a few things :confused:work.

This is true but dont you ever fancy a complete change. Believe it or not New York is on the same longitude as southern Portugal so the summer weather is pretty good.

Have a complete change almost every year. Florida (Coral Gables) or France (Vers du Gard) for Christmas (sister's homes), New York the week before New Year (excellent sales!) when in Florida and then back for New Year in Coral Gables! Love New York but not so much Florida - it's very much like Valencia was 40+ years ago! Very scruffy one street back from the Prom, especially in South Beach! After so many years in Spain also find the food tasteless, except what my brother-in-law cooks - he's a French chef and President of Chefs of America. Prefer NY in Winter which really is a complete change and gives me a chance to wear my fur coat! Once it was -16ºC which was a complete change to a minimum of 6ºC in Valencia with wall to wall sunshine. (y)

Is that Fairfield Connecticut?
We lived in Long Island New York for 3 years in the 80's
Great beaches stretch for miles. Hot summers cooooooold winters. Great place.
Still have my Long Island Rugby Jacket from when I was captain in 1987
