My new winter quarters are almost ready. How could anyone not like Benidorm when you open your door to this view every morning. Fully serviced pitch with pool and bar within 20 yards.

Your not daft, I like your way of thinking.... (y):D

A high fence a wall, no gate, no ramp... and 20 foot of water between you...

Starting to panic now - I thought you were on route to Wrenbury with a trailer full of Sparkly and Red....

You must have had a good night, I think you have just woken up in a chair by the bar or has Pat kicked you out!

You would like to spend your winter in a lay-by?

And where did anybody mention laybys?

And I have a motorhome to tour around, not to park up and sit still...

But as every one on Fun knows... each to their own.

And thinking about it a little, actually YES, I would prefer to spend the winter in rural laybys surrounded by breathtaking, peaceful scenery not far from villages and locals rather than in a packed, holiday camp site with a bar full of fun loving (drunk) Brits (at the bargain price of over €100 a week).

Next winters quarters on packed holiday camp site. Don't use the bar full of fun lovin Brits cos I'm a miserable old git but do use local bars.Caravans mine too, two pitches, tree will keep neighbours away so effectively three pitches most of the time and to me it is a bargain at €100 a week all in , wifi etc....Smileys not working!!

I do tend to agree with my learned colleague JJ. But when I have been on tour for most of the year as a freeloading wilderness camper I do need somewhere to rest up with guaranteed winter sun. I also have to think about HRH Dellboy Smudger and Benidorm does have a lot of accessible bars and drop curbs.

Still making mistakes! But they're not as costly.
Forgive me JJ, but as the title of the thread was about winter quarters and your second photo definitely shows a van stopped in a lay-by, I kinda thought that was the idea of the post/photo.
