Toyo Observe as recommended by several people on here(y)(y)

Off to the tyre fitters first thing.

Do tyre fitters generally fit tyres not supplied by them? Never really thought of buying tyres and then getting someone else to fit them.
Anyway, they look good and lots like the brand you’ve opted for. Good luck. 👍

My garage charges £20 for fitting, it’s normal.

If you buy ASDA tyres online they always use local tyre companies.

I generally shop around online for tyres from suppliers such as Oponeo etc. and then have them mounted on the removed wheels by our local independent fitter. Always works out a better price than the dedicated tyre outlets for me.

I use a local Asian part worn place, they are happy to swap tyres. £70 for all 5 including balancing. They did the ones on my 4x4 too 👍

In my experience most on line tyre suppliers have two prices.
Fitted or not fitted.
If you opt for fitted they will send tyres to their approved local (to you) fitting station who will fit at no extra cost.
If you opt for "non fitting" they will send tyres to wherever you specify and it is up to you to arrange fitting at a cost specified by your chosen tyre fitter.
Unless you have the perks of a fitter available the second choice is too much hassle... you end up getting your tyres which you then take to your fitters (As indicated in Ops photo).
Option one you just turn up at your fitters and your tyres are there waiting to be fitted.

Or you asks to have them fitted on the drive. Man comes out breaks valve sneaks off mega complaint van lowloaded to tyre fitter of choice 48 hours later taxi to collect van at the expense of online company. However they do not pay the the taxi fare. Another complaint
Paid for 4 tyres and fitting at company of choice.

Two weeks later a money transfer into my account for the full bill paId for all tyres and fitting. They never paid for the taxi .I didn't complain

I have just brought 2 Toyo open country AT for van as the midlife crisis MT tyres were too noisy! (Also have a hifly and general grabber AT on front.

Putting them on tomorrow tyre fitter charges £10 each. Behind riddlesden coop, Keighley for those local.

Hoping they will be quiet enough look quite road biased.

Let us know how the observes go....

Quick update. Just a couple of miles back from the tyre fitters but a noticeably less harsh ride on the way back. Running the same 65psi pressure all round as the old Michelin campers. Off on a jaunt to the forest of dean Saturday so I'll see how they feel on the motorway, and pulling off the grass pitch on Sunday
Small niggle, I've gone up a size from 215 to 225 so the tyre place couldn't fit the spare back in the rack underneath. 10 mins with a new hacksaw has now sorted that ;)
