Just bought a Eura Mobil Integra 2004 810 just trying to understand everything on her, a bit daunting though as its our 1st motor home, lots to learn, got all the heating and water going now, all aircon front and rear works great, at the moment we have her parked on a bad camber and trying to test the fridge out we find it keeps selecting to run on gas and will not auto select to go onto the 240 volt or 12 volt settings, read in book that we need to get the van on level ground for it to work as it should, can anyone say if this is correct please?

Broken most bits now
Hi and welcome šŸ˜ƒ - coincidentally I had a very similar problem with my Dometic fridge/freezer (RMD8505) yesterday. I couldn't even turn it off to reset it. In the end I had to get to the rear circuit board via the outside vent cover and unplug the main 12v supply wire. This somehow reset the the whole thing and it works perfectly on auto now - no idea why but may be worth a tinker.

Hi and welcome! I think that you may need to try eliminating each in turn before being sure the auto does not work. The gas does like to be level for the pilot light to be at its optimum I believe. If gas and hook-up are both available I am not sure which has priority but on mine it is electricity.

Hi

For the fridge to run on 240v you need to be plugged of course, I only mention that as its your first van:giggle: 12v will only work when the engine is running quite possibly.

Welcome, by the way.

Thanks for all the reply's but as I said the van in on a severe camber at the moment the gas does start to work the fridge, but after a while it fails, think it is due to the van being unlevel, but still do not know why it does not select the 240 volt when plugged in, think the best solution is to level van up and try to connect that way, will try this over the weekend.

The requirement for an adsorbption fridge to be level isn't about running on gas, it is due to the gravity circulation of its principle of operation. It makes no difference what the source of the heat is. 12V is only for when the engine is running. If it won't work on gas due to gradient, it probably won't work on electric either. If you can't get it to work on EHU, you might want to check fuses, hidden switches etc.
