This "small" SUV cross thing seems to be the next "something you don't need" vehicle sector....... Toyota have a Yaris cross hybrid SUV thing coming here in the Autumn, it's already in Europe.... for the "urban jungle" apparently.....

Unless you really need to why would anyone buy a new electric car now when the technology is changing so fast, there are so few charging points currently and most the range is pathetic. Within two years Toyota reckon they will be able to offer 500 plus miles of range so sure others will be able to compete with that. Fine if you live in the City I guess but I will be waiting a bit before changing. I can see a demand for a baby SUV though, easy to get in and out of, handy for parking etc.
