Thanks for the add to the group/forum.

Might sound like a stupid question, so apologies in advance. I may need to replace one of the rooflight domes on the MoHo (I'm going to attempt a repair to start with). I /think/ it is an MPK (certainly based on the handles and pretty much everything else). Note that I am only need to replace the dome & handles not the whole rooflight.

1. Should there be some marking on rooflight (dome or fitting) which would confirm make / model, and if so where would I likely find them ?
2. In the absence of any markings, what is the best way to measure to confirm sizing ? I'm aware that the sizes given are the aperture size, but obviously with the rooflight fitted one can't reliably measure that. Are they sufficiently standard and of sufficiently differing sizes that there is no risk of getting it wrong: for example, I've measured the internal width of the rooflight i.e. aperture minus whatever the width of the sides are, and that came out at approx 395mm, making me think it is most likely a 400x400. I also measure the full width of the flynet, which happened to be 400, rightly or wrongly reinforcing my thinking that might be the magic number.

TIA

Roof lights are common sizes. It'll be a 400. There also aren't many brands, if it looks like an MPK, it probably is.

I replaced an MPK that had become sun damaged and cracked with a flip open model. Provided much better cooling in the summer. If the light isn't that much of an issue, also consider a Maxxfan, they're expensive, but very good.

Many thanks. I will take a look at those options. At the moment I have managed to do an (interim ?) fix this morning. Basically my OH dropped it while I had it off the vehicle and made a humpty dumpty of one corner ! Use of some hard plastic specific glue and some Plastic Weld has enabled me to put Humpty back together again. However, it and its companion are definitely sun damaged (they may be original fit on a 2007 vehicle) and so replacing them anyway is an option.
