Totally agree. People are moving around as if nothing is the matter. The uk will suffer after all the animals are released for Christmas. I'd rather stay alive and protect my fellow man than jolly around as if nothings wrong.

Don't know the details of exactly where he was going but somewhere in Spain , my friend was going by air on the 22 Dec for Xmas , yesterday he was rung to say it was cancelled as couldn't go.

I had a feeling something was going to happen, because the deadline for residency was moved to this Sunday, loads of people in the UK are desperate to get here and register, even people that have been here illegally for years are still moaning and are still trying to go through the process, the biggest problem is they planned to register by getting a job that covers them for healthcare it has always has been an easy way in, but with Covid that's put the block on that. 🤔

Still we wasn't going to restaurants or bars over Christmas, we don't stop out late and our bubble is in the block next door. 😁
It's for everyone's benefit, but many are moaning about being home by midnight on new years eve. 🙄🤔 Bob.

Our life in Spain during the winter months doesn't differ much from our life right now. We go out biking or walking in the mountains/coast/countryside most days, and we're surprised if we see anyone else, other than the occasional farmer in his tractor or a shepherd on the hillside.

We occasionally go for a lunchtime meal with our group of friends, which we can still do, amd we shop for supplies weekly.

We live a pretty safe life. The most dangerous time recently has been for me having to visit the hospital!!!

Christmas, for us, is always low key, wherever we are, so this year is no different. People can live without a food/drink fest for one year, surely?

We do more or less the same constantly taking care, however,it does frustrate me when so many people are quick to judge and think we are all on a two week holiday bender.
