Info

All travelers to America must now apply online for a entry visa at least 72 hours before traveling. This is compulsory but does last for 2 years so beneficial to frequent travelers.

Apply at; www.visitusa.gov.uk

Apparently it won't make getting in any quicker or easier, in fact it may cause more problems initially because there are bound to be those who don't do it, imagine being behind them in the queue

Cheers Ror.

Filled them in on the plane last year.....

I don't blame them in light of recent and not so recent events there.

We had a whole family on the plane "met" by US Officials at Sanford.

At least it gives some assurrance that you can travel safe.:thumb:

Cheers Pat

Don't know why it doesn't work I used it this morning. The one below goes straight to the form pages. Easy to fill in pretty much the same as the one on the plane.:thumb:

new esta application for travel to the USA

I filled the esta forms out on the internet approx two weeks ago and the reply came straight back, however on arrival at gatwick yesterday the virgin atlantic guy said that you still have to fill out the old green form on the plane during the 'transition stage'.
Got to las Vegas and guess what, according to the homeland security guy, for the forseeable future the green forms will still be used because of computer problems. they didn't use the fingerprint scanner or the mug shot scanner either. Seven homeland security people processed 406 passengers manually in under an hour using the old computer system, just scanning passports. They still carted a few people off to the back office though. You still have to fill out the forms on the internet!

Hi Dunc
I guessed that would be the case I was booking tickets this morning with Expedia and they hinted it wasn't running too smoothly yet.
