We are new members from London. We have a Chauson Flash S2 (hence the name) which we think is great and have just returned from a month away in France. We took our two dogs - their first time abroad - and everything went well (apart from the flat tyre that happened after we came off the motorway and just as we got to the campsite at Guines). We thought this would stop us getting to the vet in time and so delay the ferry - but everything worked out OK.

Hi and Welcome to Fun, we have had our motor home over a year now and love it, we are hoping to get to France this year with our Labrador, 2 boys and elderly mum, we cant wait.

Any guidance you need, you will find off the lovely people on here, may be worth looking at Rallies and meets as there is a few going on, and meet the friendly funsters.

Hi Flash S2 from another Flash S2 owner! Glad to hear you like your van. We bought ours last October and think it's great. It's got some pretty cunning design features.

We're planning a trip to France towards the end of August and into September.

Interested to know how you sorted out the flat tyre in France, with no spare wheel? It's one of the few things I'm slightly apprehensive about.

Welcome from us also.. coming off the motorway to Guines (coming up from the South) there is a very nasty rail road crossing.. not good to cross with a trailer.. But great overnight stopping place to kill time before the return if you have a pet on board. Plenty of room we found even for the largest RV.
