Hi, my names Shelagh, I live in Fife Scotland and have been Motorhoming since 2013. I lost my husband two years ago and have been going on adventures by my self since early 2016. Our first van was a converted Bedford ambulance called "Annie". Once we decided we loved roaming around Scotland my late husband bought our 2002 Mercedes Rimor Sailer automatic 3 berth with some of his redundancy money from RAF Leuchars 2015. Sadly he only got away in it three times before the big C claimed him. I wasn't sure I would be able to drive it as it is pretty big, with a fixed double bed, but obviously Pete had more faith in me than I did and I have enjoyed several trips away with my Ridgeback, Toby and Saluki, Freyja.
I prefer wild camping and walking in the forests of Scotland. I am partially disabled but managed to go hiking with the use of a crutch. I work part time for the Post Office which means I can have long weekends away in " Rodger ", a couple of times a month weather permitting, only snow or gale force winds put me off.
