Hello everybody. I've just found your site, so thought I'd give it a go.
My name is Emmerson, married to Anne, and very old! We are owned by a six-year-old Border Collie called Lucy.
We're really died-in-the-wool caravanners, but have a motorhome as well. We are seriously into retro, and are very early members of the Retro Caravan Club UK, so all of our kit is old, too. The caravan is a 1979 Royale Rangemaster, and the van is in the process of change, from a 1987 Talbot Camelot to a 1989 A class Pilote r780, also Talbot based, which I am collecting tomorrow. (Friday 11/09.)
We've been "vanning" in various forms for 53 years now, and we think that if we keep trying, we might get to like it!
Pre Covid, we spent three to four months every year in Europe, in Spring with the caravan and autumn in the Camelot.
We've been a bit restricted of late, as Anne is awaiting two hip replacements. Once this is done, then we hope to revert to normal, Covid permitting.
We live in South Wales, aka TWC (this wonderful country)
I look forward to virtually meeting you all.

Emmerson.

What’s old it’s overrated welcome, more over 40’s are getting into out door sports like kayaking paddle boarding mountain biking etc.
We have more disposable income as a rule so enjoy it, why should we bail out the younger generation, most of us didn’t have a lot as kids.
