Hi - exchanging our 2019 Danbury Surf King T6 and picking up our Globecar Summit Prime 540 from Highbridge in 2 weeks time. Seen a few negative comments about the Summit Prime but regardless really looking forward to picking it up. Can’t wait to have a fixed bed, loo and shower! Forums look really helpful and good fun!

Hello & Welcome...... Fairly new here myself, did similar to you in that we sold our T6 conversion and have gone for a 540 PVC - albeit a different brand.

Hope all goes well for you and like you, when we get ours we are looking forward to not having to pull the bed apart twice a day - never mind having a loo and shower inside as well.... Luxury!

We previously had a post-convert 5.4m Ducato. We frequently went camping with my brother in his T5 LWB conversion. It was amazing how much more we had considering we were only 10cm longer. The only downside was he could sometimes squeeze into a car park with a barrier, but he did scrape his pop-top a couple of times.

If we hadn't decided we could squeeze 6m of van on the driveway, we definitely would have considered an upgrade to a Globecar Summit Prime 540.

You will enjoy the upgrade in space.

We upgraded from a T4 camper to 5.4m Rapido Van PVC. Almost no regrets ... it is better in most departments ...

Enjoy!! We almost convinced ourselves that a T6 conversion was the way forward but ended up with a Globecar Campscout and absolutely love it 😍

That’s great to hear - T6 was great fun but after a couple of years (and getting older) we felt we needed a bit more comfort! Thanks 👍🏻👍🏻

Hello and welcome.

We went from a T25, to a 6m ih van in 2019 and was a perfectly timed upgrade pre-covid 👍

Thanks I’m sure this will be a good move for us. Loved the Danbury (despite plenty of problems) but now need a bit more comfort - fingers crossed we’ll be trouble free 👍🏻👍🏻

That was a big jump! - and I’m nervous about driving a 5.4m 😄😄

I drive a van at work but it's really is the same and if you can't see or aren't sure just stop and get the co driver to get out and check

5.4m is just about small enough to squeeze into a normal parking space (provided you park between two Fiat 500s). You get used to the size very quickly. Length is virtually the same as a Transporter, it's just a little wider. You sit a lot higher, which is probably the biggest difference in feel, but that helps.

Thanks We did hire a long Sprinter Motorhome in New Zealand a few years ago and managed ok with that albeit there was a lot more space over there! Appreciate your tips. Cheers Jimjo
