Hi folks, I'am looking for a professionally converted van conversion, no older than 6 years old and ideally somewhere between 5.4 meters and 6 meters. something on the Fiat Ducato / Peugeot Boxer/ Citroen Relay chassis. Would prefer to buy private. Have cash waiting for the right van.
Thanks in advance Neil

I know some people buy 5.4 m Van's, but we found the difference between them and 6 m very noticeable one being rubbing knees at the dinner table. 😁
First thing to decide is the layout that suits you, for us end lounge was a no no, you have to remember your bedding needs to be stored, whereas a fixed transverse bed you leave made up and get lots of storage underneath. 🙂

So look at as many van's as possible and decide what suits your needs, because it's easy to buy the wrong one, for us it had to hold two large gas bottles, have two in our case gel leisure batteries, and have at leased 200w of solar with a three way fridge, but that's what best for us give us a flexible way of touring, you might be someone who only uses campsites so your needs would be different. 😎

This is our second van conversion the first being a Rapido v53 and our present Pilote v600g both Van's had the same layout apart for our Pilote has a better shower, a high fridge and pull out drawers making it superior to crawling around lower down looking for things in cupboards. 😁 Bob.

I have more storage in my new to me MH then I had in most of my houses, no clue as how to fill up the Clou, maybe my better half will manage to come up with some idea, it was part of the deal that she would be in charge of interior decoration and important must have items 😱😆😱😎😇🥰

Having gone from an A Class with a big garage to a panelvan conversion in 2013, I can tell you what you fill your storage with ......... putting it politely 😉 all the things you thought you needed, 😯 and carry around for years and never used them. 😁 Bob.

Hi Bob, thanks for the reply, the reason we are looking at 5.4m vans is that all our touring is off grid, usually in the West Coast of Scotland, we have had over a 100 nights away this year and have never been on a site once. Layout out wise we are looking for a fixed double rear bed, with plenty of space underneath. We recently sold our Chausson Flash 04 that we had had for 8 year and kept all the goodies for our next van , ie, solar gear, refillable gas, tyre pressure warning system etc, just need a van now, i'm sure one will turn up shortly, also a few of the ones that we have been watching have been reduced in price, so maybe its a good time to buy , we will see, thanks again Neil and Jan
