Welcome Ian, you will find a great many owners have complained about the useless head unit and screen fitted to autotrails back then. Some people have had multiple repairs under warranty. the only answer though is to replace it with something that works as designed

oh and a 2101 vintage vehicle, can it hover and fly?

Although our van is older than yours we had the same problems. It really is a poor quality system. We gave up in the end and had a twin rear camera and TV fitted separately.
Welcome to Fun.

Hi everyone, thanks for the warm welcome. I had kinda came to the same conclusion that the head unit and TV are cr*p (hope that's allowed !), and will look at changing them when money allows.

Are there any recomendations for head units and drop down TVs that would cause the least harrasment in terms of cable re-routing.

:HelloThere:
After having the original ELE..... head unit replaced under warranty and this being as close as you can get to useless I replaced it with an Xtrons unit (TD696ADS or something like that) however it's now discontinued and I don't think they have a like for like replacement.
As an option you may be able to replace with a head unit that has a compatible plug-in DVB-T tuner?

Hi Gellyneck. Ok thanks. Having looked on the internet I reckon I'll end up with a 2 din head unit that does everything except the digital TV and replace the crappy drop down monitor with one that has a free view tuner in it that's today's thinking but I'm open to more suggestions and money if anyone's offering ;)

We have a 2013 AT apache ( which we are selling) and have had 5 ele head units put in under warranty and eventually AT gave in and put us a Pioneer unit which has been great. Incidentally our drop down screen has been fine. Not sure this is any good info at this late juncture ?

Hi Peel. No it's not too late as I'm still pondering which head unit to use. Can I ask the model of pioneer unit you have. Thanks

Ian, the Pioneer head unit is either Avic F980BT or F9880BT. Not sure as there isn’t a number on the unit ????
Good luck.
