New mattress

A friend of mine has an overhead bed above the cab however the mattress is knackered and she wants a replacement.
Does anyone know where these can be sourced / made?

If she can't get an exact fit she can buy an oversized memory foam mattress and cut it to the right shape, much cheaper than getting a 'bespoke' one.

When you say "an overhead bed above the cab" do you mean a drop down bed?
If it is - you need to bear in mind the weight of the mattress. I believe @haganap made the mistake of getting a replacement mattress that nearly gave him a hernia trying to lift the bed back up - and he got his from a motorhome show. Not everybody realises that most motorhome mattresses are for fixed beds.

As we don't use our drop down bed, today I removed the mattress to make more room to store other things up there Amazing how heavy they are, I can now lift the bed back up with one finger, it was quite a job with the mattress on. When Iifted it with one finger there was a rotary clothesline a small table and two dog beds up there

We purchased off a company called Jonic Mattresses - As said above, it was partly theirs and my fault but they do make great mattresses at a good price. The problem was they talked us in to an all singing all dancing sprung mattress that when it arrived it took 3 people to lift it from the delivery truck in to the motorhome. Then when on its french bed with storage underneath the bed would no longer stay up because of it's weight.

However, they are a great company and do do just plan foam mattress that will replicate your own. All you have to do is send them the size and they will make it for you including any shapes that need to be cut. They do this through a template and it's quite simple to do.. They are a decent company

Had a 2 Stage one made up for the first R-V many years ago, (normal foam plus a memory top). The company was based near Leeds. Micklefield?. rings a bell?

We got a Duvaley topper , custom sized.Pricey but it made such a difference it was well worth it.They also make fitted bottom sheets.

We did exactly that with one from Ikea
